Conference Table Wood Options

You can have any of these wood options on your custom conference table

Each species of tree has a characteristic color, texture, and grain pattern. It is possible to modify a wood's color by staining it. The photos below show our most commonly used woods, along with our standard stain variations. There are three groups: woods which can be used for any part of the table, and woods which are best suited for the table's top center, and two finishes we use for table bases. If you are trying to match a wood which you don't see here, send us a sample or a picture. Chances are good that we will be able to find it.

At the bottom of the page you will see two examples of ebonized finishes. (Ebonizing is a fancy woodworker's way of saying that we painted it black.) We often use these for table bases.

All of these photos are small, and can't truly represent the way the wood will look in a large expanse. Our table photos will give you a much better sense of that.

It's important to understand that no photo can accurately represent the appearance of the finished table. By the time the data has passed through the camera, the monitor, and the printer, the color has changed. Wood also has a rich grain that cannot be reproduced. We are happy to provide color samples on the actual wood for you to inspect in your location. This is the only way to ensure a satisfactory choice.

These woods are suitable for all parts of the table - they are available as both solids and veneers.
