Here are two quick rules for choosing the best size:
By number of seats:
Length (in feet) - 2 = number of people.
Examples: 10 foot table, 8 seats. 20 foot table, 18 seats. (This is for standard width conference chairs. There are ways of squeezing more people around a given length - contact us for more information.)
By room size:
Available space determines the maximum table size. Subtract existing furniture and building structure from your dimensions. Large tables and rooms require more free space than small tables and rooms.
- For spaces up to 16 feet long, minimum clearance is 42" (3.5 feet) all around the table, and 48" (4 feet) is recommended.
- For spaces up to 22 feet long, minimum clearance is 48" (4 feet) around the table, and 60" (5') is recommended.
- For spaces over 22 feet long, minimum clearance is 60" (5 feet) , and 72" (6 feet) is recommended.
The pulldown menu lists our standard sizes. If you know you need a different dimension, choose custom.
