Power, data, and video options.
Most of our tables incorporate some kind of wiring. Here's a summary of our favorite solutions:
No Wiring
If you aren't using computers or other equipment at the table, you might not want to have any wiring. This is often the case with small tables, but we will make any table without wire runs if desired.
About Wire Runs
When you add wiring the the table, it's wise to consider the wire path to the floor. All of our tables can be outfitted with internal wire runs, and most of them are specifically designed to be easy to wire. We have wide experience with all kinds of wiring and will work with you to figure out the best way to solve your wiring problems.
Grommets
The simplest way to accomodate wires is to put holes in the table top. This is often done when the only equipment required is a telelphone or Polycom. We frequently use a 2.5" round, either in wood, plastic, or metal. There are many other sizes available - we'll make a recommendation after reviewing your equipment needs with you.

Power/Data Units
If you are using computers or other equipment at the table, it's useful to be able to plug them in at the table top. We use power/data units manufactured by AV vendors at the connection point. There are hundreds of these available, at a very wide variety of price points. Our favorite units are shown below. These are reliable and economical choices, but may not work for your situation. We are happy to work with your IT people, and we will design the table to accomodate any unit you choose.
Mockett Units:
Doug Mockett Company sells a wide range of units, and also provides insert plates for any kind of plug you can imagine. Their prices are considerably lower than most vendors. We have two favorites from their line:
Mockett PCS-1A
Provides two 120v plugs and two data inserts. Available with plastic or aluminum cap. If you are need lots of units spread over a large table, these work well and keep the price reasonable.
Mockett PCS-3
Our favorite unit: lowest price per user of any unit out there. Each has 4 power plugs and can be equipped with (6) Cat 5e jacks or a wide variety of other insert plates. Available with a plastic or metal cap.
Mockett PCS-3 under hatch
The PCS-3 is great, but not great looking. We can hide it under a custom wood hatch, which will match your table top exactly. Note how the wood grain runs across the hatch lid in the photos at right. We can do this for whatever wood you choose.
Altinex PNP 417 and lid
This unit features a spring loaded popup - push down on the lid and up it jumps. It has plugs on opposing sides, and can service 4 users. This is a well made unit, and the lid is very elegant.
ECE Intercept
This is a pop-up that can service 8 users. We have used these in both modular and fixed tables.
Microphones
These usually require a small hole to be drilled in the top, and wire paths below. We do not provide these, so have your AV person specify the model used, number required, and preferred locations.
Other Equipment:
Projectors, controllers, whatever: we'll make it work.
